7 Months

I guess that's long enough to wait to put something on my blog.
Here's the kids in Hawaii:

Not the best picture, but it's actually the only one with them both in it that I took.

Hawaii was a blast! Loved it, want to go back!

I was looking for more pictures to post, and it seems they are still all on my camera. Thus why I don't post too often I guess, the transferring of pictures is soooo annoying now that I don't have the cannon software anymore.

here's the latest pictues of the kids I have on my computer:

Oh, Tristan has 7 teeth and is currently walking at about 50%

oh poo-pee

Ok, so we have been potty teaching Kit for about 6 months. Not really training, but letting her know it's there and how to use it, and that she gets something good if she goes. She didn't care. She'd go potty if she wanted candy, but that was if/when she remembered it was there. I'd ask her if she wanted/needed to go, and she's always say no. This was with panties or a diaper. She usually peed herself five minutes later. Oh well. Anyway. I have been asking EVERYONE ( or reading their blogs) and nothing worked. She's gotten stickers, candy, praise. We've thrown out diapers, so there's no fall back (that was a disaster she didn't care if she peed even when she had to clean it up) I finally got a pottty chart, and a tube of minature horses (12 in a tube). So Kit can pee whenever she wants, she gets a sticker (2 if she poos), and candy (if she remembers, I wont remind her about the candy) It took a week to get 11 stickers for the first horse. But once she got that horse, he needed a friend. She wanted another the next time she she peed. I showed her the chart and told her she needed 10 more times before she got another horse. "okay" she sighed at me. Four days later she got enough to get another horse. This was yesterday. So she wanted another horse because she had three cups and only 2 horses. Again I showed her the chart and told her that she had to pee on the potty enough times to get the stickers all the way to the horse. So what did she do? she went and tried to potty over and over and over one right after the other to get those stickers. I had to tell her it had to be a "big pee" (not just a few drops) to get a sticker. Well, that little gitl did it. 9 peeings and one poo later (all today mind you - and NO accidents) she got her horse. I have nine horses, if she'll do that everyday for the next week I think I've got her. Mwah hah haha hah! Ok, so get this everyone says pooping is worse to train. Not so for Kit! She has not pooped in a diaper since she started getting stickers. the weirdo always wanted to see it, but now it's a matter of pride to show me her "big one" poo in the potty! Ok, yea gross, whatever it makes me giggle.

Ocean

Is it weird that there are days that I pine for the sea? Just to hear the roar, and feel the waves as the ocean breathes in and out? To be out of sight of land and know that solitude is there for the taking. I think I need to consider saving for a cruise.

Strawberries!

'Tis the season where I am seeing red and green! No, didn't you read the title it has nothing to do with christmas! :)
What started out last year as a "hey, why not" has become an experience.
A lady in our neighborhood announced in church that she had a lot of strawberry shoots that could be used as startes that she was wanting to part with. I stopped by and got a few. I saw how they took over her yard, so they got a secluded spot in my front planter.
I took six starters and planted them, giving them room to spread later. Don't they look cute?
These two spent the first season dying and then ressurecting themselves, so they didn't produce any fruit the first year.
Look flowers! Oh how cute!!!
I got a few strawberries last year, no more than about twenty the whole season, and I was out of town for the week that most of them bloomed. sheesh.
So yea, I wasn't expecting this year's turn out. First off here's how they grew.
Actually this is an old picture, They now take up the whole area alotted to them, you cant see any dirt inbetween them, and they are trying to send shoots across my walkway and over the rocks, so I get to trim those once a week. The strawberries started getting ripe about a week ago and I'd get five or six edible ones a day (meaning no bugs or birds would get to them first). Kit would eat those and want more.
Well, I got smart and started picking the strawberries a day before they're perfect to eat and let them ripen on the counter over night. That way I get a lot more than the birds.
Today's count me 20, critters 6. Not bad.
The blue bowl was yesterday's now edibles and the strainer is what I got today.
As for Squeaker,
He could care less.
I have started to really like gardening. I have now planted roses, which are about to bloom, I have 5 trees, four rose bushes/ shrubs, some random flower bulbs that I got for mother's day from the ward, and I'm tilling and preparing the soil for some corn, peas, cantelope, and pumpkins.
Just so you know I have tried several times in many ways to fix the layout of this stupid thing, sorry.

Tristan

Well, at least Tristan waited until mom got here... Barely. Brent picked up mom from the airport and got home. we played outside for a few hours and then decided that it was time to go to dinner. We got to Red Robin at around 8pm. and it was about a 35 min wait. so we were seated around 8:30. Our drinks and onion tower arrived and we started in when I felt like I leaked a little in my pants. I sat still for a second and sure enough there was a little drip. Great, I thought that Tristan had kicked my bladder just to make me mess a little at dinner. then it leaked a little more. I looked at Brent and said, "either I just wet myself or my water broke" his eyes got huge and he was all "what?!" and that's about when the drip started to flow. "Yup, MOVE" I was on the inside of the bench, so he had to get up and I was running to the bathroom all the while fluid was trickling out faster. Yup anyway is was that my water that broke, and two hours later Tristan was born cesearan, which was lucky because he had his cord around his neck three times. It's a good thing it was cheaper for mom to come that day than the next, or she would have missed the whole thing.

Funny things Kit has done recently

We play this game called "here comes a mousie" in which I chant that as I tickle up her leg, and once I get to her stomach I cry "mousie, mousie, mousie!" as I tickle her. Well, she decided this was an appropriate and fun game. So we play it a lot. The other day she decided to play with daddy. So as he's sitting on the couch, she starts tickling up his leg going "here comes a Mickey" Well, I guess she's got the whole Mickey Mouse thing. Then just this night I was downstairs and Kit was upstairs with her dad. Well, we have this giant stuffed animal gorilla she loves to wrestle with. That gorilla was on the bed... I heard a roar, scream, thump, (pause) cry. So I hurry upstairs to see what happened. I guess the gorilla was on the edge of the bed, and Kit took a flying leap at it to tackle it to the bed, but she misjudged the edge of the bed, and they both went flying off. After the consoling, I asked her if she "bonked," trying to find out if she had hit her head, and where, etc. Well, she nodded that she had bonked and I as I asked her where, she pointed over to the edge of the bed where she fell off. She grabbed my hand and took me over there, and climbed up on the bed. Well, Brent was laying on the bed and I kneeling next to it. I guess she was going to show me how she bonked, because she got up behind Brent and said "like this!" while jumping at/over Brent towards me. Well, now I know how she bonked. The irony is that she was showing me how she bonked while both of us were explaining that this was the reason why we tell her not to jump on our bed. -"like this!" yup, jumping like that was just how you fell off the bed. this time daddy caught you while the gorilla didn't. Yea, Yea, Yea, I'll get pictures in sometime, when I feel like fighting my computer to download them.

Pregnant

I was talking to my neighbor about the differences in pregnancies between her's and mine. I decided that I'm am just bred to have babies. (no, not a lot of them I'm just good at what I do). I don't get morning sickness, I don't have that many problems (don't ask Brent though. I guess I just don't realize how nutso I get). So yea, I just kinda sail through the pregnancy. YAY! Like, I have 3.5 months left, and meh, I feel huge, and I get moody, but that's it. Although my ski jacket not zipping around the bulge is annoying, especially if Brent gets to his jacket before I can put it on. :) I can get Kit to say "Hi baby brother" to by belly. But everytime I do she looks at me quizzicaly and asks "Baby?" I just laugh and tell her that she'll see. I don't think she'll really understand until the slimy thing starts intuding on her domain. ;)
