About Time

Ok, So, I was perusing the blogs I keep track of, and saw that one hadn't been updated since Halloween. Then I saw mine was still back in JULY!!! wow! Ok, I have excuses (who doesn't) but we had to get a new hard-drive and my camera download info is on the old one, and I don't know where the CD is for the install, and I practically have to redownload the entire camera every time I try to download pictures. It takes a while, and I hate having to reorganize and such my pictures. Plus I always feel weird writing about myself. I don't really know why, but everytime I think of something to post, I don't want to sound like I'm whining, or being all me, me, MEEE!!!! I know that's what blogs are for, but I don't know I have to be in a mood, and since Tristan is not only twisting my guts, but my hormones as well, I'm not in the mood to blog. Tristian? That's the little mutant I'm going to give birth to in April.

This is my title.

A lot has happened recently. I am constantly asounded at Kit's growth and learning. She said her first sentence the other day. "Mom, want please juice." Close enough right? and she got the please, so grammar and syntax can be beaten in later. We've been enjoying our backyard and fence. It's great to be able to let the kid and dog out and not have to worry about chasing either one of them. Brent made it pretty much from scratch. including digging the holes by hand (shovel too). He did a great job too.

Kit loves playing in the water. In fact, she used to throw a fit when we told her we weren't going to fill up the kiddie pool. Now she just drags the pool over to the faucet and tries to turn it on. She also Likes to play with Comet, and lhe likes playing in water too, so here's a video of the buds.

She wants to do everything we do. From sitting the same way to facial expressions to what we say or do. She's even mimicing her movies. She tries to stand like Lilo and stuff it's pretty funny. She also now sings when she "plays" the piano. It's too cute! I'll have to record it sometime.

Kit did a complete summersault last night. Then she did a lot of rolling around, tumbling, and falling off the couch, but she was loving it. I was going to get the camera, but she was about done by the time I thought of it and then she would have gotten distracted by my leaving the room. Has it been so long?

What!! I have a 2 year old?! When did that happen? Oh yeah, yesterday. She's getting so big. We had a fun party with the Biggs, Stocks, and the Carter's girl Kodi & her grandma. They had fun playing in the water. The BBQed pork was pull-apart delicious. The corn was great and the cake looked as funky as last year, but tasted better with Brittany's Buttercream Frosting recipe. Yum Yum! I make finger paints for the kids to decorate my sliding-glass door like we did when I was young. Kit & Calvin both had a taste of it, neither were impressed, but they liked coloring, but the water was more appealing for the kids.

Lilo & Stitch

Kit now has a favorite movie.

We have watched Lilo & Stitch everyday for the past four days. We have tried princess movies, animal movies, and pretty much any family movie (and some Brent & me movies) and this is the only one that hold her attention. Granted it's only for about 15-20 minutes, but compared to the 5 minutes she gives anything else that's pretty good. She now actually says Stitch, but it sounds more like a swear word than the real thing, but she is usually pointing to the picture or one of our Stitch stuffed animals. I guess it shouldn't suprise me that it's her favorite movie. We have 7 Stitch likenesses in our house, so he's everywhere. Kit also thinks Lilo is a baby, so she wants to look at the baby too. I guess she could have picked something I didn't like, so I got lucky there. It's nice. I put on the movie downstairs and she watches just long enough for me to get a load of dishes done. Then we pause it and do something else. Then when Kit has a need to watch a movie I tow her back and push play again.

Kit took the shoes off her doll and is trying to put them on.

She got them in the beginning of February, and we broke them for the first time last night.

Big Girl's Room

We finally got a bed frame for Kit's bed, so we traded out her crib yesterday, and now she's in a big kid's bed.

So far so good!

Not dead!

Believe it or not I haven't been stuck in a ditch for the last 4 months, just lazy. Then when I wanted to Blog Kit would wake up, or I would remember that I misplaced the connector for my camera so I couldn't upload my pictures. Hehehe like how my blog is all springy, and the last post was December? that made me laugh. Ok, but just a warning I am going to back date my blogs, so Read backwards until you get to Dec. 4th then you hit the old stuff.
